In addition, the resort is located near the Blue Ridge Mountains, with a stunning backdrop.
It is worth noting that Tryon offers a variety of accommodations when staying at the resort. These accommodations range from RV spaces to 1-bedroom cabins to the 3-bedroom cabin we stayed in and more.

Tryon Cabin Review
During our trip, we stayed in a three-bedroom cabin, which was very nice.
This is an ideal setup for a family vacation as it provides plenty of sleeping options for a large family. This cabin served as an excellent place to stay for my family of six and my parents. It had a spacious living room and a well-equipped kitchen.
Fun Tip!
It was very convenient to have dishes, silverware, paper towels, and cooking equipment in the cabin. This allowed us to prepare some of our own meals which saved us money during our stay.
With horse-themed pillows, leather couches, a beautiful fireplace, and horse pictures on the walls, the cabin had the feel of an upscale but comfortable country home.
It also had a luxurious atmosphere that perfectly complemented the stunning countryside scenery visible from the deck.
With its natural surroundings, it was the perfect place to relax, drink hot coffee, and enjoy the outdoors, far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Furthermore, its proximity to local attractions, shops, and restaurants makes it a great location to explore the area.
Tryon’s Top Restaurants
Among the many restaurants at Tryon Resort, we enjoyed Mulligans and Legends Grille. Both restaurants offer a pleasant atmosphere and cheerful staff.
On the rooftop of Legends Grille is the perfect spot to appreciate the beauty of the mountains in the background.
In addition, you can appreciate the horse show taking place. Not only can you enjoy the scenery, but you can also have a drink or grab a bite to eat in a relaxing atmosphere.
Legends Grille
My favorite thing about the Legends Grille was that they offered both indoor and outdoor seating. Watching the horse show while enjoying the outdoor seating was a very enjoyable experience.
With items like Chicken and French Toast and the Monte Cristo Sandwich, as well as appetizers and desserts, this restaurant has a wide range of fresh food to offer.
I chose chicken and French toast. The fried chicken was crispy and the French toast was thick and fluffy, making for a perfect combination of flavors and textures.
The combination of the crunchy chicken and soft French toast was a delicious balance, and the syrup created an even layer of flavor on every bite.
It also comes with a side of fruit. The meal was delicious and the portion size was just right.
The service was top notch and the staff was friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.
Mulligans
Mulligan’s located inside Tryon’s Pro Shop serves up American fare like burgers, wings, salads, and sandwiches. If you’re enjoying the pool, place your order and receive your food poolside.
Fun Tip!
Taking one of these menus to your table will be very convenient if you choose to eat poolside. Depending on your appetite, you can choose from appetizers or full meals. Additionally, you can also find refreshing drinks and desserts to complete your meal.
Having some tasty snacks available while relaxing by the pool was a great idea! Mulligan’s food was delicious! The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the wings were nice and crispy.
The salads were fresh and the sandwiches were made with quality ingredients. The food was a great addition to the occasion and made lounging by the pool even more enjoyable.
Tryon Center: What to do
Besides providing a variety of amenities, the Tryon Resort itself is well suited for those who love horses, outdoor living, and active lifestyles, and features shops, golf courses, swimming pools, and restaurants.
Additionally, the Tryon International Equestrian Resort offers horseback riding, sporting events, such as PBR rodeos, and other activities catering to various interests.
While we were there, we attended the PBR Professional Bullriding rodeo in Tryon, and it was awesome to be so close to the action.
We got to experience the roar of the crowd every time a bull rider stayed on for as long as possible. We could feel the energy of the event. The riders were amazing and it was a very entertaining show.
Tryon International is hosting its next rodeo event this October if you’re interested in PBR and WCRA. The richest rodeo east of the Mississippi will be held at Tryon International this fall.

Horseback Riding Excursion
Horseback riding excursions are available at the Tryon International Equestrian Resort. Tryon Western Adventures will match you with the horses that are right for you.
The resort has a team of experienced professionals who understand the needs of riders of all levels. They are dedicated to selecting the right horse for each rider. This ensures comfort and enjoyment, even for those with special needs.
My son is autistic, and they went above and beyond to find him the right horse. The horse that was picked was very gentle and it allowed my son to feel comfortable enough to participate in the excursion. It was so rewarding for him that at the end, he told me he’d like to start racing horses.
Wrapping Up
Our visit to the Tryon Center allowed us to witness the beauty of horses in their natural environment. Getting to experience the Mill Springs, North Carolina area and the many activities available there was super cool.
We also made some new four-legged friends that we may have never met if we weren’t there! Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish for years to come.
There are many other activities the center offers and we look forward to exploring them in the future. We are so grateful for this amazing experience! You can find more information about this resort by visiting the Tryon International Center website.
