It’s not the Itsy Bitsy Spider anymore lol. In fact, this Spider Toss Game will have kids jumping and throwing spiders.
Spider Toss Game
What is your first thought when you see an insect? Perhaps, that it will jump on you? Me too! So does every single one of my kids.
As most of you know I am a mom as well as a foster mom. And I have no idea why but there seems to be a spider in every different shape and size in our house every once in a while.
Often it will crawl into our bathroom and just hang out in the corner. Of course, it generally ends up being that either myself or one of my girls spot it in the restroom. That’s an Eek moment!
Imagine your stuck in a spot and you can’t move fast enough… then all you picture is this spider jumping on you or running towards you. NO THANK YOU! LOL
Well anyways as you get my drift… we are not a fan of spiders, creepy crawlers, or any sort of bug!
However, this game puts a twist on the scary thought of spiders.
Plus, this is super easy! Which we all love easy right? My family and I enjoyed playing this Halloween game in our backyard.
In fact, I’m thinking about using the Spider Toss Game for my youngest daughter’s fall PTO party in her classroom. Come to think of it, it’s perfect for 2nd grade students! Even teachers may want to jump in on the fun. Here’s everything you need!
FYI just two products. Awesome right? On top of that… We add a few more Halloween activities for fun!
Materials Needed for this DIY Halloween Game Idea
All you need for this fun game that you can play indoor or outdoor.
How to Play
What you will need to do is set the cup about 10 feet from the toss line. Each player will need to jump in place three times and then throw the spider into the cup. The player that gets a spider into the cup during their round will win a prize.
However, If you are playing with limited prizes. Simply change-up the rules a little and have the player with the most spiders inside the cup win. This game can be played with either one player tossing at a time or multiple players/teams taking turns. For more than one player/team at a time simply assign each team a certain color of toy spider to toss into the cups.
