In the past 6 years, I have been a foster parent and I have discovered ways to get free stuff for foster families, discounts that give us savings perks so that we can take our kids on vacation.
Foster kids require a variety of essential items for them to feel loved, safe, and secure. In addition to basic necessities like clothing and toiletries, comfort items like stuffed animals, toys, and books can make a big difference in the lives of foster children.
These items can help foster children cope with the trauma and uncertainty they may experience. They can also provide a sense of familiarity and stability. Moreover, they can help foster children feel loved and valued.
In this article, we will cover what freebies there are, how you can get them, what discounts to look for, and free things that foster children may qualify for. You won’t believe how much free stuff you’ll get at the end!
What Are Foster Families Freebies and Discounts
Foster families and churches play a vital role in providing safe and loving homes for children and teens in need. To show appreciation for their selfless dedication, many businesses and organizations offer special freebies and discounts exclusively for foster families.
These perks not only help alleviate some of the financial burdens that come with fostering, but they also recognize the important contributions foster families make to their communities.
One common area where foster families can enjoy discounts is in the realm of entertainment. Many movie theaters, amusement parks, and museums offer reduced or even free admission for foster families.
These discounts can provide wonderful opportunities for foster children to explore cultural attractions and enjoy recreational activities that they may not have had access to otherwise.
Freebies for Foster Parents
In addition to entertainment, foster families can also take advantage of discounts on everyday essentials. Some grocery stores and retailers offer special savings on items such as diapers, formula, and clothing for foster children.
These discounts can help foster families stretch their budgets and ensure that the needs of their foster children are met.
Foster families can also benefit from discounts on educational resources. Many online platforms offer free or discounted access to educational materials, tutoring services, and online courses for foster children.
These resources can support the educational growth and development of foster children, helping them succeed academically and build a brighter future.
Rate Reductions for Utility Companies
Furthermore, foster families can find discounts on various services that can enhance their daily lives. Some utility companies provide reduced rates for foster families, helping to lower monthly expenses.
Additionally, there are discounts available for services such as transportation, childcare, and family counseling, which can further support the well-being of foster families.
It is important to note that these freebies and discounts are typically offered by businesses and organizations as a gesture of appreciation for foster families. They are designed to ease the financial strain associated with fostering and to acknowledge the incredible commitment and sacrifice that foster families make.
In conclusion, foster families are eligible for a range of freebies and discounts that can help alleviate financial burdens and support the well-being of foster children.
From entertainment to everyday essentials, and educational resources to various services, these perks are a way for businesses and organizations to show their gratitude to foster families for their invaluable contributions.
By providing these benefits, foster families can continue to provide safe and loving homes for children in need, knowing that their efforts are recognized and supported by their communities.

What are foster family support groups?
Until a child’s birth parents are able to care for him or her, foster parents provide a stable and supportive home for that child. Most of the time, foster parents work with social workers to reunite the child with his or her biological parents. Some foster parents care for more than one child.
But sometimes, there are just things that we can’t prevent. We all want reunification to happen, but sometimes circumstances prevent it from happening.
Foster family support groups are groups of foster families that come together to provide support and resources to other families. They provide an opportunity to share experiences, express feelings, and receive advice from other foster families. Sometimes they’ll share ideas for free stuff for foster families too!
They also provide a safe space for foster families to find a sense of community and support.
What is foster family training?
Foster family training provides foster families with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to provide supportive and nurturing homes for foster children.
The training covers topics such as child development, trauma and attachment, parenting skills, and self-care. It helps foster families to be prepared for the unique challenges that come with caring for foster children.

Disney Foster Parent Discount
Unfortunately, at this time, Walt Disney World or Disney Land doesn’t offer a discount for theme park tickets for a foster family! However, tickets are free for children 3-10.
Additionally, Disney does offer discounted rates for other qualified groups, such as military families, teachers, and first responders.
In addition, Disney does offer a “Magical Giveback” program that allows guests to donate their unused theme park tickets to charity. This program allows guests to donate their unused tickets to those in need.
Walt Disney World also offers a “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program, which allows guests to volunteer with a local charity and receive a free Disney day ticket.
Ultimately, Disney’s donation programs help to ensure that their theme parks remain magical and that those in need receive help. As well, the Not so Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party have slightly lower-priced tickets versus regular admission if that helps.
