1. Hide the Ghost Farts

Scatter marshmallows throughout your playing area.

Try putting them:

• Along a walkway

• Near bushes
• Beside Halloween decorations
• Under outdoor toys
• Around trees
• Near hay bales
• Beside lawn decorations
• Around a playset
• Near plastic ghosts

Just avoid roads, grills, fire pits, pools, or anywhere else you don’t want excited kids running.

2. Give Everyone a Ghost-Fart Collector

Hand each player a small bucket, cup, or treat bag.

For a larger group, divide everyone into teams and give each team one bucket.

3. Set the Timer

I like about 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the size of your playing area and the ages of the kids.

Then announce:

“THE GHOST FARTS HAVE ESCAPED!”

And let them loose. 😂

Players race around collecting as many marshmallows as possible before the timer goes off.

4. Count the Ghost Farts

When time is up, everyone brings their bucket back.

Want to make the game last longer?

Instead of scattering the marshmallows in plain sight, turn the activity into a true Halloween scavenger hunt.

Hide them throughout the yard or party area like Easter eggs.

For younger kids, keep them fairly visible.

For older kids, make them work for it.

You could even hide several larger marshmallows worth bonus points.

For example:

Regular ghost fart = 1 point

Jumbo ghost fart = 5 points

Golden ghost fart = 10 points

Ghost Fart Relay Race

Divide everyone into teams.

Place a pile of marshmallows at one end of the playing area and an empty Halloween bucket at the other.

Players race down, grab ONE ghost fart, race back, drop it into their team’s bucket, and tag the next player.

No handfuls!

There’s always that one kid. 😂

The first team to transport all of its ghost farts wins.

Don’t Drop the Ghost Fart

Give each player a plastic spoon and one marshmallow.

Players have to race from the starting line to the finish line while balancing their ghost fart on the spoon.

Back to the starting line you go.

For older kids, make the course harder by adding cones, pumpkins, or other obstacles they have to weave around.

Ghost Fart Toss

Set several Halloween buckets at different distances and assign each one a point value.

Players stand behind a line and toss marshmallows toward the buckets.

Closest bucket = 1 point.

Middle bucket = 3 points.

Farthest bucket = 5 points.
