I know when it comes to my own family. Spending time together is the most important.
However, adding in those fun little moments makes it extra special. It also opens doors for lasting memories.
For example, a few years ago. I added leftover birthday streamers to my kids’ door. When they woke up on Christmas morning they got to bust through them before they opened their gifts.
It was such a huge hit. Every year they asked for me to do it again. It didn’t take a lot of work at all. But something so small meant so much and was so fun for them. 🙂
