I am so grateful to Lynne Graham, the author of 130 romance novels, and for her gracious act of kindness for my grandmother. It was the surprise of a lifetime!

It all started around Christmas time last year. I was trying to figure out a gift for my Grandma that would really mean something to her. So I started thinking of her favorite things.
Then I remembered throughout the course of the last couple of years she would tell me, Cassie, if you see any Lynne Graham books at garage sales or a Good Will. I will pay you for them if you could get them for me. I wasn’t the only one she asked. She really wanted these books.
Therefore when I was out and about, I would look but didn’t have much luck finding any, unfortunately. So finally, this past Christmas, it dawned on me to look online.
Amazon was full of romance books by Lynne Graham. I thought I hit the jackpot. At that time, I bought her 7 books and wrapped each one of the books separately. I added a bow around the books, and due to Covid, I had to drop the gifts off at my mom’s house.
I couldn’t see my Grandma’s face when she opened them, but I heard it in her voice when she called me. It meant the world to her. She cried and told me nobody has ever done anything like this for her before. It meant so much to her, and I was blown away at how much it meant. I was so happy.
Within 2 weeks, my Grandma had all 7 books read. That’s when I knew I wanted to start her, her own book club. A book club she didn’t realize she would be getting from her granddaughter.
I came up with the idea to buy her at least a book every two weeks and more often if I could. So January, February, and even more books in March for her birthday, she got surprise books on Mother’s day, and it has continued all year.
However, I have to tell you about something so cool that happened. In hopes of getting my grandma an autograph picture to add to her favorite author Lynne Graham collection, I reached out to Lynne online.
Too much surprise, Lynne got back with me, and I shared how much my Grandma adores her books and how she is my Grandma’s favorite author, and if there was any way to get her an autograph picture.
Lynne did not only provide a picture, but she sent my grandma three books, a personalized letter, and an autographed picture all the way from the United Kingdom. How cool is that?
With much excitement, I took the package to my grandma’s house and surprised her with it. It meant the world to her!
Lynne went above and beyond for the surprise of a lifetime for my Grandmother, and it also meant so much to me.
The smallest of gestures can mean a million dollars to others. I’m so grateful for this amazing author to be so gracious to my grandmother because little does she know the impact she’s made on her and me.
I have already bought my grandma three more books of Lynnes, and my little book club for my beautiful grandma will continue until hopefully all of the 130 romance novels are bought.
