Summertime is here and my kiddos love to use sidewalk chalk! However, this time we’ve created a Kids Chalkboard Activity!
Kids Chalkboard Activity
If you want to do something out of the ordinary with the kiddos this summer? This sidewalk chalk activity helps cure the boredom blues.
Materials Needed
Large Box
Tape
In fact, I am going to teach you how to make a sidewalk chalk activity for children right now.
This is a fun idea to do. It’s very simple and is easy on the wallet.
What you will need is a large box. In fact, I used a leftover box with a king sized frame in it. Hello FREE!
There is a picture below for an example.
Tip: The box I used was a heavy-duty box. This made it extra nice because if it’s a windy day it is less likely to blow over.
Next, I took chalk paper and wrapped it around the box. After that, I used tape and taped all around to hold the chalk paper on the box.
That’s it! It was so easy to set up! As a matter of fact, it took me a couple of minutes at most and that’s it. If I was playing a minute to win it game using this idea. I think I would have crushed the time, lol.
Most importantly, you’ll be creating the perfect chalkboard for kids that could be used indoor or outdoor and will take hardly anytime at all to make!
Summer Surprise for Kids
When my children came outside to the backyard they didn’t expect this easy to put together chalkboard waiting for them!
They all thought it was cool because it was a fun summer surprise from mom!
However, I think my girls liked it more than my sons but that’s only because my FS is too young and my oldest son is not into drawing or painting. Plus, my girls love to read, draw, paint and use sidewalk chalk so this activity was perfect for them! 🙂
