My friend Amanda holds a glownbowl in Feb. Without living near her, I often get to enjoy pictures of her crafts and games, and my favorite idea was the Glow in the Dark bowling.
After seeing how easy the craft was to make and play with water bottles, I wanted to change it up a bit for my kids.
Glow in the Dark Bowling
It’s summertime, and that means it’s time for our favorite activities, and my family and I love to glow in the night.
We played glow in the dark golfing last week, but this time, it’s a glow in the dark bowling DIY.
Suppose you love playing with glow sticks or testing your mad skills with glow in the dark minute to win it games. We recommend you check out how to hunt a glowing egg, make characters out of glow sticks tutorial, and a daring way to make glowing ice cubes! Say what?

If you are looking for a play-anywhere game, you’ve got it!
For this game, we used flavored juice drink bottles. Often the packs come with six of the same color. We chose red and blue because those are our kid’s favorite kind. Plus, I think I picked them up for $1 at Walmart.
After that, we activated the glow sticks (bracelets) and connected them with the connectors.
Tip: Which after the game is over, make great prizes or party favors for kids too! As well as could be used for pinata fillers, goodie bag stuffers, and camping too!
This family game is easy to play indoors or outdoors.
Setting up the activity outside, we placed 10 pins (bottles) out to initially toss the bracelets onto. You can set up as pins as they would be at a bowling alley.
They will be placed in four rows, with the first row having one pin, the second two, the third having three pins, and the fourth row will have four pins.
Place two reference marks, one ten feet from the pins and the other at fifteen feet. While standing at the ten-foot mark, each player will toss glow bracelets on the pins to start their turn.
Then they will move back to the fifteen-foot mark and roll the ball, trying to knock down as many pins as they can. Just as in regular bowling, they will have two opportunities to roll the ball at the pins. If you knocked down any pin with a glowing bracelet on it, you received double the points.
The player with the most amount of points won the game.
It was a fun game to play, and I can’t wait to try it again, but first, we will play this hilarious bigfoot game!
