DIY Reindeer Craft Ornament
Every year at our house our kids love to make Christmas ornaments! It’s a fun tradition to do.
As you know, I am a mom and foster mom.
With that said, I am a mom of many. Whether the kids placed with us through the foster system are still here in our home or if they’ve been reunified with their parents.
We keep ornaments for each of them.
Therefore, check out how to make your very own DIY Reindeer Craft Ornament.
This easy-to-make reindeer ornament is a nice addition to any tree!
What you will Need
- Wood Slice (Check Amazon’s price here!)
- Googly Eyes
- Red Pom Pom
- Brown Foam Paper
- Green Ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun
Let us teach you how to make the easy reindeer ornament!
You’ll need to grab your wood slices and get ready to decorate. 🙂
First, we cut antlers out of the brown foam paper. You are welcome to trace or draw your antlers however you like. We just eyeballed ours.
Second, after cutting the antlers out you will need to attach them to the back of the wood slice.
Third, after the antlers are dried. You will add google eyes to the face of the reindeer.
As well as, a red pom pom nose.
Lastly, to complete the DIY reindeer ornament craft you will need to attach the green string or ribbon to the back of the ornament.
Tip: A fun idea is to add this ornament or another DIY ornament to the outside of your gift. People love receiving homemade gifts!
Again, we used a hot glue gun to attach and let dry.
After that, you could allow your child or student to write their name and year on the back for a fun keepsake.
We have seen so many cute Rudolph ornaments! We pride everyone who has made them from Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, a wine cork reindeer ornament, and even a fingerprint Rodolph ornament. Such cute and fun ideas!
We hope you are inspired in some way to make or create your own decorated wood slice ornament!
