In 10 minutes, you can make your own cereal valentines using mini cereal boxes, a plastic spoon, and a themed ribbon!
DIY Cereal Valentines for Valentine’s Day, a Birthday, or Any Special Occasion
Take a break from the usual card-giving and consider handing out cereals instead! A super easy, kid-friendly Valentine’s Day idea! You only need small cereal boxes (8 are usually offered in a pack) plastic spoons, ribbon or bakers twine, or something to tie the spoon to the cereal. That’s it! So easy and really quick to put together.
With little to no effort, you will be handing out cute party favors in no time.
Materials Needed
Which type of cereals works best for cereal valentines?
You can pick a variety of mini cereals or stick with a particular brand. I like going after colorful boxes like Frosted flakes, Fruit Loops, and Apple Jacks.
However, I don’t recommend getting the mini pouches; the boxes work much more manageable and look nicer, in my own opinion.
Fun Tip!
You can get a good deal on Kellogg’s breakfast cereal variety pack assortment here. The last time I checked, there was a 25% discount coupon available! Please let me know if it’s changed.
