Plus, how awesome would this be for a road trip?
It sure would be truckloads of fun for any kid that loves playing with cars.
In fact, collectors and car enthusiasts alike will go crazy over hearing about how easy it is to make this race track.
This simple push-around play DIY craft could be played indoor or outdoor. It would work perfectly in the car going to Grandma’s house or if you’re headed in an Airplane to Disney.
Tip: You could create this racetrack out of a small or large pizza box. I like the small pizza box I feel it is a little more transportable. I thought it would be easier for my son to hold in the car while he was on his road trip with Grandma.

Ready to learn how to create the toy car hack?
What you will need to do is save a leftover pizza box.
Next, use a black permanent black marker and draw a race track on the bottom of the box.
After you made the track. I suggest cutting out clouds from white paper to add to the top of the box.
It will give the theme of the box more of an outside look.
Everyday Playhacks
It doesn’t matter if you have Matchbox cars, Hot Wheels, Toy cars, Diecast cars, Chevy or Ford model cars, trucks, motorcycles, or airplanes.
This toy car hack was inspired by my car loving little boy! A fun DIY that will work perfectly for any child who loves to pretend to beep their horn, park their cars, crash their cars, or a kiddo that loves anything with wheels.
What a simple yet effective toy trick. I love it when I can make what others think of as trash into something useful for my family. My son would absolutely love this!
Thanks, Morgan! I’m so glad your son will enjoy this. Thanks for letting me know! 🙂
LOVE THIS! Easy, cheap, and effective. All of which are desired traits for a toy i’d make for my kid. Thanks for sharing

This is really cool and creative
Sounds really creative and handy, as you can transport this box and your child’s cars almost anywhere! One thing that I would do (but this is just me) is let your child color on the tracks and have some input on the decorations they want in the box.
Thanks for commenting! I agree I think any child could have a ton of fun creating their own box. I think having the outside theme removable would be awesome too! Thanks for sharing!
