Round up your friends and prepare to get pumpkined as you laugh and work together to get as many marshmallows on your head as possible in this pumpkin toss game.
There’s something unique about Pumpkin Toss that makes it fun for the whole family to play on Halloween.
The Pumpkin Toss Game: Why You Should Play It
What’s more fun than chucking marshmallows at people’s heads? Tossing would be a better word to describe it. People often participate in fall games such as a pumpkin ring toss, throwing flour, and tossing bean bags.
Those who play will enjoy this game, which is designed to get them laughing, thinking, exercising, and interacting together.
Materials Needed
With this activity, we are taking it up a notch and putting a different spin on it: marshmallow pumpkin peeps, whip cream, and plastic hair nets will be used.
- Pumpkin Peeps (Find a great deal on peeps at Amazon here!)
- Cool Whip
- Shower Caps
How to Play
Halloween games like this are so much fun! Here’s how it works:
- In this game, teams should be divided into two.
- Each player wears a shower cap, and on top of the cap is a thick layer of cool whip.
- The next step is for players to stand about 5 feet away from one another with peeps in hand.
- The timer starts (for a minute) and each player can toss a pumpkin on their opponent’s head.
- A prize will be awarded to the player or players who tossed the most pumpkins and got them stuck on the shower cap.
What’s the difference between pumpkin tossing and pumpkin ring toss?
In pumpkin tossing, pumpkins can be tossed into cans, baskets, or in this case onto people’s heads. The pumpkin ring toss is played by throwing rings around small jack-o-lanterns. My personal preference is tossing orange marshmallows or cheese balls on players’ heads as pumpkins. It’s fun for both kids and adults.
Fun Tip!
In case you don’t have peeps available, you could use cheeseballs instead. They look like miniature pumpkins and you’ll get more value for your money.
Halloween Minute to Win It Game Variations
Here are three popular ideas:
#1 – Minute to Win it Halloween Party Game
A minute to win it Halloween game would even work for this. Aim to throw as many marshmallow peeps as possible on your opponent’s head in under a minute. The team with the most marshmallows on its head wins the game and wins prizes. Teams race against other teams to see who can get the most marshmallows on their heads.
#2 – Head Covered in Cheeseballs Game
Three players will be playing, but two will be wearing shower caps, and the third one will be trying to throw as many cheeseballs as he can before the timer expires.
#3 – Play Cheesepuffs on your Head
Another alternative to miniature pumpkins is to use cheese puffs instead of peeps or cheeseballs.
Conclusion
This wacky and hilarious Halloween game is inspired by our Peeps on a head game and Cheesepuff Head game. It’s a fun idea to mix all the items up cheeseballs, marshmallow peeps, and cheese puffs for a Halloween game in October. Enjoy this hilarious halloween game idea and get your holiday on!
