What is Pass the Bow Party Game
Generally, Pass the Bow Party game is played with guests of 6 or more. So, for example, the more players, the merrier!
The game is a twist to the classic hot potato game.
In this particular game, my favorite bow size is this one here. It fits comfortably into your hands, and it’s easy to pass back and forth between players.
Just like in the classic game, you’ll keep passing the bow.
Yet, you won’t want to be caught holding the bow when the Christmas music stops or you are out.
How to Play Pass the Bow
First, you will need to create a circle of players.
Next, designate one person to be the host of the game and put them in charge of the timer or music.
Meanwhile, the other players in the circle will have a starting player with a Christmas bow in their hands.
After that, ask the players to pass the bow to the player on the right side, and each participant will keep passing the bow.
They’ll continue to pass the bow until Jingle Bells (or another Christmas song) stops.
Whichever player is caught holding the Christmas bow is out.
For example, you will continue to play “Pass the Bow” until there is one remaining player.
The last standing player will win the game and have bragging rights, lol!

This bow activity also provides an opportunity to put another spin on it. This time, offer a variety of colorful bows to the kids and allow them to pick the bow they like best.
For example, if you grab a bag of bows or a tube of them. Typically you will find this assortment in the bunch.

If you have a group of students and each child picks their favorite color of bow.
Before the music begins pick a color to be out. For example, every child holding the red bows will be out. Then, in the second round all of the green. The third, all of the silver, and lastly, then all of the gold.
You could do this by flipping a coin or announcing it after all of the bows are picked.
When the music stops all of the children holding the “red bows” will be eliminated.
