Christmas Eve Games
When you are planning on celebrating Christmas in July or throwing a holiday party or a student winter party at your school, you may be wondering what to do. You will find all of these games to be easy to play during the holiday season!
Our first Christmas day game in our newly acquired home was this holiday game played in our Grinch pajamas. Besides creating hilarious games for adults, we also enjoy playing the classic saran wrap ball game. This game is a fun and simple way to entertain people of any age. It’s also a great way to bond with family and friends.
Plus, it’s a great way to spread holiday cheer when players win prizes!
What is Pass the Bow Party Game
For groups of six or more, Pass the Bow is the perfect party game. Trust me, it’s like a party in a game! This activity is a fancy twist on the classic hot potato game, but with a stylish and comfortable bow to pass around.
Fun Tip!
The bow size I prefer for this particular holiday game is the one shown here. It is the perfect size for holding in your hand, and it can easily be passed back and forth between players.
But, the catch is, when the Christmas music stops, you don’t wanna be caught holding the bow! It’s like musical chairs but with a fancy bow!
Playing Pass the Bow: How to Play
The first step is to create a circle of players. Put one person in charge of the timer or music and designate them as the game’s host.
Meanwhile, the other players in the circle will have a starting player holding a Christmas bow.
You will then ask the players to pass the bow to the player on the right side, and the bow will be passed back and forth between them.
The bow will be passed until Jingle Bells (or another Christmas song) ends. Whenever a player is caught holding the Christmas bow, he or she is out.
As an example, you will continue playing “Pass the Bow” until only one player remains and the last player that has the bow with nobody else still in the game wins. The winner is then presented with a prize. This can be anything from a small present to a larger reward.
Pass the Bow Christmas Game 2.0
Introducing the one and only 2.0 Pass the Bow Christmas Game!
Are you ready for a colorful twist? Gather up a bunch of bows in different hues, and let the kiddos choose their favorite. Will it be the classic red, jolly green, elegant silver, glamorous gold, or maybe the cool blue?
Once everyone has picked their bow, it’s showtime! But wait, there’s a catch. Before the music starts, randomly pick a color to be eliminated in each round. Will it be the red squad, the green team, or maybe the silver stars?
As the music plays, the excitement builds, and when it stops, the children holding the “eliminated” color bow will be out of the game. Who will be the ultimate bow-passing champion?
It’s a fun and easy way to keep the party going and bring some laughs to the festivities. We hope you and the little ones enjoy this cute game idea!
