First, I want to share I am a huge chalkboard print lover! If you are looking for a chalkboard printable you will have to check out Kristin’s from Yellow Bliss Road’s Last Day of School Free printable. She has them labeled for each grade. That is pretty awesome!
I also love this font that Twenty Five Things used on their free printables for celebrating the last day of school. You could use these ideas to dress up the front porch or have the kids hold them and take a picture. You could even print out a sign and stick it in the car when you pick them up from school.
Fun things to do on the last day of school after school
Where should you put the Last Day of School Signs? When you’re thinking about the place you will want to stick your sign. Think about the first place the kids will notice when they get home from school? Will it be the front porch, the back door, or the car? Keep in mind that you will want to surprise them with the sign right away!
If you choose to put it outside you could put it on the garage, front porch, the driveway (with sidewalk chalk) or the back window of the car. If you would rather not have it outside. Perhaps putting it inside the house will work too. You could put it in the living room, their bedroom, or in the grand entrance. This will still make for a fun surprise.
