First Day of School Traditions
Are you ready for the kids to go back to school? Each year I love coming up with First Day of School Traditions for my children.
Whether it be fun games or fun school traditions. I try to make the day extra special for them.
Most kids (including mine) dread going back to school due to the first day of school jitters and nerves. This is why it is fun for me to give them something to look forward to for the first day of school.
Back to School Traditions
OMG! How cute is this shirt? What a fun back to school tradition from Where the Smiles Have Been!
Before each school year begins you would add your child’s handprint to the t-shirt.
My kids would love this idea! Such a creative and memorable idea!
First Day of School Morning Tradition
A really cool First Day of School tradition is to wake them up with a cupcake, donut, or a special breakfast.
Don’t forget to take a picture of them with their crazy morning hair.
This will be a fun one to stick on Facebook!
Surprise Breakfast Idea
How to make morning breakfast fun for the first day back to school?
You could use a red plate and cut out a leaf from green construction paper to add to the top.
It will become an apple plate. A super cute and easy idea!
Elementary School Traditions
The night before school starts.
Snuggle in bed and grab their favorite back to school book.

Tip: Talk about first-day jitters and how exciting school will be with meeting new friends and looking forward to learning new things. This will not only help calm their nerves but it will be a special time set aside for them and they’ll love it!
Back to School Video
When my husband was deployed I would make tons of videos and cute interviews (centered around the kids with school, sports, etc.) He loved it!
I love how Whats Up Fagans has put interviews together of her children for Back to School memories.
The best part is she gives you a free printable to have on hand if you want to make a back to school video of your child.
Such a cool idea! I’m printing my free printable today!

We need to come up with a good back to school tradition over here! I think a special breakfast would probably go over really well with my fam.

What a beautiful way to help get back to school, I love these ideas. Next week the kids I nanny start school, I am so sad for summer to be gone and I know they are nervous to start school. I cannot wait to use these and help all of this in this process!
