What you need:
Baking Soda
Green Food Coloring
Glitter
Water
Vinegar
Green Treasure
Plastic Gold Coins
Instructions
First, make to make the rocks, start by adding two cups of baking soda to your bowl.
Second, you will need to add a few drops of green food coloring.
Third, once you have your desired amount of green food coloring slowly add in 3/4 cup of water and mix.
Keep in mind when adding the water, don’t add too much at one time because it is easy to overwater the mixture.
In fact, if that does occur add more baking soda.
Once the mixture is at a moldable consistency create small rock-forming balls and add desired glitter and treasures.
After the lucky magic rocks are created lay them on a flat surface and let dry for 24 hours.
In about 24 hours, the rocks will be ready and place in a glass bowl and pour vinegar over the rocks and watch fizz.
Lastly, after that, the kids can watch the St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Magic rocks start to dissolve and discover the treasures left inside.
It turns out to be a really neat DIY craft that the kids will enjoy!
