In fact, we will help show you how to put your elf on the Shelf in self-quarantine for 14 days but make it a fun for the kids!
We all know what it’s like to move the elf everyday. Somedays it’s fun and sometimes it’s just a plain ol’ pain in the rear for some parents.
However, I can tell you this is one of the easiest hacks out there for busy parents.
It is also a way to make light of the pandemic during Christmas.
A situation that none of us have control over and including the North Pole.
Just not Santa!
Nobody wants to hear Santa is in self quarantine just the elves and or maybe a reindeer or two. 😉
Therefore what you will need is an empty box, container, or plastic bucket.
As well as a boy or a girl Elf.

Now to do this idea we just used a bucket that was left over from our son’s toys.
As a matter of fact, we used a bucket from these toys specifically if you’re curious. 🙂

Why You Should Put Your Elf on the Shelf in Self Quarantine
We have a couple of options on why and how to put your elf in self quarantine.
- Bring your elf back 14 days early.
- Wait a few days or a week after bringing the Elf back to use this idea.
With the first option, you could bring your elf back early. For example, head start and a creative and fun entrance for the elf! He or She will just need to quarantine first.
Second, popular, option is to bring your elf back at normal time.
Then, after he or she here and is moved for a few days or a week. And then you start to get tired of moving the elf and or the momentum has worn off.
You will then just place your elf in quarantine.
That’s 14 days free of moving that Scout Elf, lol.
