Free and Fun Activity For Kids
Have you been searching for a fun activity for the kids to do this summer? This idea is a great way to cure the “boredom blues” and keep the kids entertained. Instead of playing in the water… put a twist on summer and freeze the ice. This activity was completely free for us to create because we used stuff we had on hand. 🙂
Put a Twist on Summer and Freeze the Ice
What you need:
Container
Water
Figures
If you are in need of figures (Great deal on Playsets here!)
Kid Hammer, Spoon, or another kid-friendly object to break the ice
First, this project will take a few days to create. You have to freeze layers of water. For example, start off with a layer of water about the 1/3 of your container and add in characters. I used these characters here and if you are in search of Disney characters this Frozen Figurine Playset or Cars 3 Figuring Playset will make a perfect choice. Wait approx. 12-24 hours until ice is frozen. Add in another layer of water and characters. Continue the layering process until all layers of ice are frozen. This makes an interesting learning experience for the kids and it creates hours of entertainment. In search of more kids entertainment ideas check out Glow in the Dark Art.
