Christmas Vacation Jello Shots! The jello shots inspired by Aunt Bethany were the absolute hit of our “Christmas Vacation” theme party this year. Scroll down for the easy recipe and how-to.
Christmas Vacation Jello Shots
It is a holiday tradition every year to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Every single cast member makes us laugh, and we love drinking out of our moose mugs!! If you do not have one, you can find them available here – you will not regret buying it!
We went Griswold style this year and got inspiration from Aunt Bethany to spice things up a bit! To do this, we used green jello, vodka, and this secret ingredient!
After making the jello according to the directions on the package, I mixed 1/2 cup of vodka (per 12 jello shots).
Next, I poured the jello and vodka mixture into 2 oz—plastic shot cups.
After that, I topped the Aunt Bethany jello shots with lucky charms (no marshmallows) and put them in the fridge for the next couple of hours.
After I cooled the jello shots, I topped them with a few more lucky charms.
As you can see in the picture, I chose the lucky charms that looked like cat food. All in all, these turned out cute and were a big hit at our party!
