Mr. Potato Head Fruit Tray
As a mom, foster mom, and entrepreneur, I get very busy!
At times like this, my own mom is a saint!
Not only does she step in to help out but she highly enjoys it.
For example, my oldest son loves Toy Story.
In fact, Woody is his favorite character. When Grandma found out how busy I was she started coming up with cool toy story party ideas!
It started with Toy Story themed party food. Check out the idea below!
Toy Story Themed Food
Being a Pinterest enthusiast like me, she saw a picture of a Mrs. Potato Head cantaloupe.
But my mama loves to take things to another level (it’s where I get my creativity!) 🙂
As cute as the first potato head she saw was… she turned it up a notch.
She created an entire Mr. Potato Head fruit tray!
It turned out to be such a neat DIY!
First, you have a ton of healthy food that creates an easy recipe for a birthday party!
Tip: The Kiddos will enjoy eating healthy foods even more if they look like this!
Second, this unique fruit tray is filled with fresh fruits including some of the following…
- Grapes
- Strawberries
- Cantaloupe
- Pineapple (canned is optional)
- Blueberries
Third, this food idea may look hard but it’s not.
In fact, all you need is a Melon Baller to clean out the cantaloupe.
Also, a knife to chunk up the fruit and a clear tray to put the fruit on.
Fourth, when you cut the cantaloupe keep in mind you won’t want to go all the way to the bottom.
The reason being is because you will still want to add fruit to the top of the cantaloupe.
Fifth, after cleaning out the cantaloupe, you will need to insert the Potato headpieces.
In fact, it’s really easy just like putting the parts into a pumpkin.
Likewise, they’ll just push through.
Toy Story Party Ideas
You could even choose to create a Mrs Potato head for a girl party and a Mr Potato head for a boy party.
It doesn’t matter either way. One or both will make adorable party decor!
Especially for Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie fans! I know in my home my children are huge Disney fans!
We love all the Pixar Toy Story movies featuring Tom Hanks and Tim Allen especially Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Plus, Toy Story of Terror and That Time Forgot!
In fact, just like the Incredibles movie. My family went all out this year for Toy Story 4.
We wore Disney t-shirts and even our youngest placement was dressed as Woody. It was adorbs!❤️
Lastly, keep in mind you can find all sorts of creative Mr. Potato parts for many party themes, not just the original pieces.
