What is Teacher’s Appreciation Week?
It is a way to show gratitude and appreciation for your child’s teacher for their hard work and dedication. I also like to include all of the teacher’s that put hard work into helping my children. For an example, the Art Teacher, Gym Teacher, Librarian, Music Teacher, and any other teachers that have had a helping hand in helping my child.

Teacher’s love flowers! Plus the flowers look beautiful on their desk all week-long! You could add a sweet card that says, “Thank you for helping me grow this year!”
When I was a preschool teacher and my kids brought me treats I would love it. A nice cookie spread or a half-dozen freshly baked cookies can do just the trick to make your child’s teacher’s day. Another idea for National Teacher’s day gift ideas is an ornament. I still have the ornament one of my students gave me in 2001. We put the ornament up each year on our Christmas tree. I still think about that day and how much the ornament meant to me. If you want to see what the ornament looks like go here. It’s absolutely adorable! It’s not the exact one but very similar and after 17 years I still have it.

Unexpected Teacher Gift Ideas
Over the years my children have had a couple of Sports loving teachers. A great sports gift idea would be a coffee mug with their favorite team logo. Another great idea for a sports fan teacher is with the NFL Draft coming up getting them a t-shirt of their favorite team and you can find that here!
Another really nice gift that was an unexpected Teacher gift idea was movie tickets! How awesome is that?!!! It was something I got that was very useful. My husband and I got to go out and enjoy the night, relax, and have a good time. It is definitely a favorite of my 15 of the BEST Teacher Tested Appreciation Gift Ideas!
This one is an unexpected idea. I am a huge fan of picture canvases. I just think they really make the house look nice and I repeatedly get compliments on my photos. While my daughter’s preschool teacher was visiting our home (prior to school starting) she kept complimenting me on all of the canvas that I had and loved them, she really wanted to know what company I recommend. This became a GREAT idea for a Teacher’s Appreciation Day gift idea for her. Tip! Here is the company I recommend! Fantastic prices!!!
One of my favorite gift ideas for the teachers in the past is to add a Redbox code to a decorative Tag. Then, applied it to a package of un-popped popcorn with a bow. Not only were we able to do this gift budget friendly. It was a HUGE hit with all of the teachers and they loved it! To get a free printable Teacher Appreciation Gift tag go here.
Budget-Friendly Teacher Gift Ideas
A budget-friendly idea to use for this Teacher’s Appreciation Day is to pick three nail polish colors these colors here are PERFECT because they’re bright and fun! You could add them to a small clear bag with a bow or a small basket add a decorative tag that says, “Thanks for being a TOE-TALLY awesome Teacher!”
My oldest daughter’s teacher last year loved Coca-Cola. Whenever the kids in the class would ask her what she would like for a gift for Christmas or another holiday, she would tell them a bottle of coke. I didn’t want to just give her a bottle of coke. I wanted it to have a little extra glow.
This is what we did. We bought her this here glow cup, a bottle of coke and wrapped it in clear Cellophane. We also added in some chocolate and finished wrapping it with a ribbon.
It became a fun Coca-Cola Glow Basket. This may sound expensive but it was very budget friendly to make. The best part is that there was a button on the glowing cup to turn it on and off. When my daughter walked into the classroom with her gift. She had the basket lit up. The kids were like “Wow!” and the best part is that her teacher loved it! 🙂
