We recently went on a road trip to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY along with some friends from church, and were so blown away by the experience. You can feel the presence of the Lord in the museum from the moment you walk in. Check out more about our experience with this Creation Museum Review and the Ark Encounter!
Creation Museum Review
Parking was a breeze ($15 per day for standard vehicles), but once you had your tickets, you could walk right up to the museum. My only complaint was that it cost additional money to see the planetarium. It would have been nice to have it included in the price of the ticket.
From the interactive screens to the informational posts on the wall, to the garden of Eden and the historical items in the museum, there was so much to see and do.
I also love the fact that kids under 10 are free in 2022. That is a very nice perk! Plus, it’s so close to Ohio that it makes a very nice road trip!
Creation Museum offers a number of ticket options to choose from as you plan your visit. It’s also possible to combine the Creation Museum ticket with a 3-Day Bouncer Pass or Ultimate Bouncer Pass to enjoy the Ark Encounter, the Creation Museum’s sister attraction (just 45 minutes away).
We were able to see both exhibits. They were both very interesting. There are also several neat rooms to explore in the Ark.
We also checked out the buffet, which was crowded, but my husband and I took turns taking our children and ourselves up for food. Since it was very crowded, I wanted to reserve a table. The food was good and we all enjoyed it.
We also bought a really cute ornament from the Ark’s gift shops. Our kids each picked out a stuffed animal and held it up in front of the ark (outside) for a cute photo op.
I recommend going to both exhibits on separate days if you want to check them out. They both offer a lot of information, interesting sights to see, and a lot of walking.
