Dinosaur Party Games
The best part about this Jurassic-Sized Minute To Win It game is that you can play it indoors or outdoor. So it could be used for a birthday party, summer party game, at a carnival or festival, at a PTO party, vacation bible school, Scouts camp, or even played in your backyard!
I would even play this at a family reunion. It would be hilarious for family members that want to laugh and strike a pose for relatives with these big huge Jurassic-sized T-Rex feet on, lol. #hilarious
About the T-Rex Dinosaur
Did you know that there are all types of Dinosaurs, but my favorite is the T-Rex? It’s also known as a Tyrannosaurus. It was a carnivore and was located in North America.
Fact: There were T-Rex fossils found in states such as Texas, Wyoming, and Montana! Pretty crazy, right?!?! Learn more about the discovery of fossils here.
What is your favorite Jurassic movie? I don’t know if I like the Jurassic Park that came out in 1993, The Lost World: Jurassic Park movie that came out during my high school days, the Jurassic Park III in 2001, or if it would be my son’s favorite the Jurassic World that came out in 2015.
I may wait to decide which is my favorite until after watching the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom that I heard already grossed $700 + million worldwide at the Box Office! My family and I are excited to see it. Do you plan to watch it in 3D?
How To Make the Hilarious T-Rex Game
Ready to play the DIY dinosaur party game? You will need to find the biggest box you can or pick up a display board. I used two display boards that I picked up from Dollar Tree.
You will need to draw one big ol’ T-Rex foot on the green poster board first. I recommend using a pencil in case you need to erase a couple of spots. Then cut out the foot you have just drawn on the poster board.
The next thing you will do is flip the foot over, place it on top of the second green poster board, and trace it out with your pencil.
After you cut the second one out, you’ll see this will help mirror the effect of the foot. The toenails will look pretty cool, curved in towards each other. It gives this the hilarious T-Rex game effect you’re looking for!
I say that because you won’t want to do what I did in this game here!
After that, you will need to cut out the feet from the cardboard using the poster board feet as a template.
Don’t have time to cut the feet out or want an additional dinosaur game? Check out the dinosaur party game!

Build a Dinosaur body by rolling a dice and adding the corresponding dinosaur piece. Whoever builds their dinosaur first wins!

From there, you will need to attach the poster board to the cardboard. Again, I used hot glue to do that. I also used hot glue to attach the sandal to the poster board, as you can see in the picture below.
The hot glue worked well and held the sandal in place during the entire game for us!
After that, you will need to attach the glue dots to the toes. Again, you will want to leave enough room for the toenails to show and the balls to attach easily.
Next, you will add plastic balls (from a ball pit) to the glue dots on the big T-Rex toes. For each new player, we added new glue dots. It worked well for us. The picture below shows the area we placed the glue dots.
This is how the T-Rex feet will look when finished.
In the film, you know how those huge monstrous dinosaurs walk around stomping their feet, saying, “Rawwrrrrr!!!!” Yes, you could totally have the kids do that in this game, lol. But, it will feel more real and make this funny trex game sure to be a fun time.
How To Create The Green Rings
The second part of the game is creating green rings. You will create them out of a green poster board. I cut two long strips from the poster board and attached them end for end using hot glue to form the larger ring.
For the smaller ring, I cut one long strip of the poster board, then cut another strip about half the length of the first strip. I also attached end for end using the hot glue gun forming the smaller ring.
How To Play Minute To Win It Hilarious TRex Game
Each player has the same starting and stopping points.
Player 1 will go to the start line. He or She will put the T-Rex feet on.
After the whistle blows and the timer starts. Player 1 will walk as fast or funny to the stopping point by the green rings.
Each participant will need to keep as many balls on their feet as possible while making their way to the designated spot.
Once they reach the green rings, the player will need to take the balls off their toes with their hands as fast as possible and toss them into the green rings.
The player with the most balls inside the rings at the end of the minute will win.
Play and have fun however you wish. I will say this though, placing the rings on the cement made this a little more challenging and fun!
Wrapping Up
It doesn’t matter if your favorite dinosaur animal is a Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Pentaceratops, Quetzalcoatlus, Saichania, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Spinosaurus, or Velociraptor. Kids or adults will be thrilled by this Jurassic sized hilarious TRex game!
