8 Hacks To Save Money On Your Next Flight
Are you getting ready to travel soon? Need a little help with trying to save money? Check out these money-saving hacks that will help you enjoy your holiday travel, family travel, honeymoon, or vacation→ budget friendly. 😀
1. BEST BUDGET SITE
My favorite flight booking service CheapOair. CheapOair is the best site for comparing flight, hotel, and car rental prices. For an example, I just put in a flight from Cleveland, Ohio to Las Vegas, NV leaving in January for a weekend getaway and for both my husband and I it would have been $302 roundtrip for the both of us including taxes and fees. GREAT DEAL! 😀
2. IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER
The best days to book your travel are Tuesday and Wednesday. Avoid booking your flight on Monday or Friday, those days are typically higher priced due to business-related trips. Instead of buying your ticket months in advance (when prices are higher) wait until six weeks prior to departure on a Tuesday afternoon around three o’clock EST. It’s a great way to save on ticket prices.
3. CHEAPEST DAYS TO FLY
When traveling the cheapest days to fly are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. The most expensive days to fly on are typically on a Friday or on a Sunday.
4. SIGN UP FOR AIRLINE EMAIL LISTS
If you’re looking for upcoming deals on ticket prices sign up for their newsletter. It’s a great way to see upcoming promotions they might be having and a great way to look for deals over the holidays.
5. LOOK FOR AIRLINE TWEETS
A low fare could pop up at a moments notice on a tweet. This could save you a lot of money but the deal may only last a short time.
6. CHECK THE AIRLINE WEBSITES
A lot of times buying through an airline’s website you will pay a higher price. With that being the case some airlines do offer last minute flights and sales on their flights.
7. SIGN UP FOR FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAMS
Take advantage of signing up for frequent flyer programs. These programs allow you to accumulate miles each time you fly. These frequent flyer miles add up and the next time you take a trip you could be flying for free. Woot! 😀
8. KEEP YOUR SEARCHES PRIVATE
Did you know that flight prices go up when the flight is reputably searched? The travel site wants to scare you into booking faster before the prices go up even higher. The best way to avoid the website knowing if you are searching for a flight is to search for flights in incognito or private browsing mode.
I hope you have an amazing trip! 😀 ♡♡♡
